This space is the epitome of a stylish abode. Agghh, it makes me sick with envy! It's minimal and glamourous, warm and cool, cozy and clean. The attention to detail is perfectly divine. What gets me excited about this space is the vintage lines - an ode to the mid-century modern design I adore, but the look is mused with regent glamour which gives the space such rich texture.

Oh swoon, it is absolutely amazing! I just wanted to roll around in all of its' mid century modern glory. The collection of pieces he carries are in amazing condition, of the best quality and totally unique. You'll be able to find some rare gems, and there's more than just furniture, there's art work, jewelry, pottery, electronics and lighting. The prices are right!

Last night my cousin and I spent hours winding our way through Target ...and it was wonderful! I am absolutely smitten with Liberty Of London for Target. The paisley prints, the softs pastels, the clean contrast of black and white. Everything about it evokes charm and sophistication, while Target keeps it inexpensive and fun. Liberty is rather lady like, but slap a dash in any room and you'd have instant charm. The paisley prints evoke memories of the sixties, while the flower prints remind me of my mothers english garden, and all the colour combination are punchy without being over powering.
I really like big letters! They remind me of 1930's theatre marquee letters, changing each individual letter by hand in preparation for a new show. Or what about the signage used outside of 1950's diners, think of LA car hops and girls on roller skates. Maybe I'm just a romantic nostalgist for large letters, a girl can dream.

The winter pallet is so pale. Even on a clear sun shiny day, the sky is grey and the sunshine is pale. Nothing bright, nothing saturated in rich colour, everything is hazy. I miss summer days of purple flowers and green grass. So in an attempt to liven things up, I went in search of colour at Apartment Therapy.
Vancouver is in the midst of Olympic mania, everywhere you look there is something interesting to see. Last night I couldn't help but notice that the Vancouver Art Gallery has an enormous hand painted botanical mural placed across the front of the entire gallery! The colours were rich and warm; red, orange and rose. The mural is by the artist Michael Lin and measures nearly 6000 square feet. A pleasant reminder of the summer to come and the inspiration for todays blog post - botanical prints. It's maintenance free greenery.
