This space is the epitome of a stylish abode. Agghh, it makes me sick with envy! It's minimal and glamourous, warm and cool, cozy and clean. The attention to detail is perfectly divine. What gets me excited about this space is the vintage lines - an ode to the mid-century modern design I adore, but the look is mused with regent glamour which gives the space such rich texture.

Oh swoon, it is absolutely amazing! I just wanted to roll around in all of its' mid century modern glory. The collection of pieces he carries are in amazing condition, of the best quality and totally unique. You'll be able to find some rare gems, and there's more than just furniture, there's art work, jewelry, pottery, electronics and lighting. The prices are right!

I really like big letters! They remind me of 1930's theatre marquee letters, changing each individual letter by hand in preparation for a new show. Or what about the signage used outside of 1950's diners, think of LA car hops and girls on roller skates. Maybe I'm just a romantic nostalgist for large letters, a girl can dream.

Their genius is to take our seemingly endless supply of waste and create new design possibilities. With a keen eye for finding street and alley "stuff," they re-purpose they're finds into unique and functional objects.
Hangeliers are made from new wood and plastic hangers, recycled bike rims, chain rings, all the pieces are held together neatly with zap straps. Brilliant!

On a recent jaunt to Santa Monica I had the luxury of staying at The Georgian Hotel and I was over the moon with excitement!
The Georgian opened in the spring of 1933 and was designed using Art Deco and Romanesque Revival styles. It was a hot spot for high society elite, a den of activity during prohibition and a famous Hollywood hide out. Through the decades it has been host to film directors, starlets, authors, gangsters and politicians. I must say staying at The Georgian was a unique experience, the elevator is enveloped in dark wood and has big brass buttons, the emergency exits are sets of dangerously long and narrow steps, and the evening drinks on the Veranda are delicious.
Found these on Etsy and had to take a quadruple look until I fully absorbed what was going on. Frankly I love 'em! At first glance they look just as any ceramic figurine should, until closer inspections says: "Oh no, that's not right!" They are positively perfect, in a hilarious and somewhat disturbing way.
This might seem silly, but when I first watched Yonder I wish I could become miniature and step into this mysterious world. There is something magical about it, which got me thinking, we all have a certain place we like to retreat to. A place that's comfortable and relaxing, where we can escape to and life is good. But very rarely do we call our that place home.
When I was a munchkin I watched a movie called "White Squall" and from that moment on I was absolutely tormented by the idea of ever getting on a boat. Now that I am older, wiser and know how to swim - I've developed a liking for boats and a love for nautical decor. So I thought I'd share some images that evoke the emotions of open water without having to hit the waves.
